Too often, viewing an organization chart to find “which neck to choke” suggests that there are more necks than choke holds. What we have learned is that telecom is the most powerful (and vulnerable) resource that supports the way we live and work. Terrorists know this. Unfortunately, those of us who worked in the Bell System were paid to make sure that things didn't break. Product obsolescence was not a term in any of the company dictionaries. |

The result is that much Twenty-First Century technology runs on infrastructure manufactured and installed in the Twentieth Century – it was made that well. It was not necessary to keep track of what went in the ground “the phone company” knew where and what it was. The Bell System did an excellent job of creating an expectation that things would always work and someone else was responsible for it.
You may have just found out that YOU are responsible for how things work. Give us a call and we will help you figure out where to look. We are old enough to know how and where physical infrastructure was built and placed. We can help you see where it supports and blends with new technology – and how to protect it and your career. |
